Oryina Patience Mlumun more popularly known as Lady Pesh, born 15th January is a Nigerian musician, singer, songwriter, and performer. She is regarded as Benue State afrobeats giant, Pesh was born and raised in Benue State, She hails from Mbayee, Mbakiev, Gaav, Konshisha Local Government Area, Benue State. Lady Pesh started her music career in 2013 and received a nomination for the Best Female Rising Artist of the Year award in 2014. This recognition motivated her to pursue her music career more seriously due to the support and love she received from her fans. In 2015, she collaborated with ZESTWORLD Entertainment and featured on the label’s song “Touch Body,” which was released that year. During her time with the label, she recorded songs like “Show Ur Talent,” which became a hit in Benue State. In 2021, she won the “Artist of the Year” title at the Choice Awards. Lady Pesh is also a makeup artist, she loves makeup and claims that she always used her mothers makeup things on her own face while growing up.

Early Life and Education

Lady Pesh went to two Primary schools, the first one was LGEA NKST Primary school Makurdi and left in Primary Four, then completed at Josephine International Primary School in Makurdi. Pesh enrolled at Anglican Secondary School in Makurdi where she was schooled till JSS3, then moved to Domji Memorial College where she spent just a year and then moved to Peniel College Makurdi where she finally graduated in 2018. She proceeded to Benue State University Makurdi where she graduated in 2024 with a first degree in Theatre arts. Her childhood was relatively smooth until the loss of her mother, Mrs Evelyn Oryina, in 2011. The passing of her mother was a significant challenge, but she and her family managed to move forward. Three years later, in 2014, she experienced the loss of her father as well. Since then, her brother, Mr Success, has taken on the role of both parents in her life.

Recognising her passion for music, Mr Success supported and nurtured her growth in the entertainment industry, helping to showcase her talent to the world. He has been her inspiration, source of courage, and guide, for which she remains forever grateful.

Music Career

Lady Pesh grew up under a father who was a musician, this made it a little easier for her choice of career. Her career is greatly influenced by her brother, Mr. Success, as well as by artists such as Cynthia Morgan, Tiwa Savage, Nicki Minaj, and Yemi Alade. Lady Pesh started her musical career in 2013 and recorded superstar and by 2014 she had recorded “show your talent” and “lyrical ninja”. She was nominated for “fast rising artist of the year” which she won. Lady Pesh was managed ealier in her career by her brother Super Success, but currently has left her management to her dedicated team, the independent artist has worked so hard overtime promoting her music. In 2015 she worked with Zest world entertainment and recorded “touch body”. In 2018, she released her first studio album “sweet life” which had all her songs of 2017 and 2018. In 2019 she was nominated as “best female artist of the year” by Butasa awards which she won, and won the same award in 2021. Lady Pesh won Benue awards in the same category, and was also nominated as “music artist of the year” by first choice award. She released “emergency” in 2023 which was a hit song and won “BUEPA female artist of the year” and also female artist of the year” in the same year by WOF.

Personal Life

Lady Pesh was born to the family of Gabriel Oryina Ayiman(father) of Mbayee, Mbakiev, Gaav, Konshisha Local government Benue state and Mchivir Oryina Evelyn(mother) of Kwande Local government, Lady Pesh is the third daughter in a family of six, with two sisters, Juliet and Cynthia, and an elder brother, Fredrick Oryina Kumave who is also an artist, also known as Super Success or Mr. Success. Lady Pesh’s father was a renowned Tiv Musician and furniture worker, he allowed and guided his daughter to music , his only advice was making education necessary before music. The artist loves swimming, reading, listening to music, sitting out and taking a walk in the evenings, sometimes she streams her evening walks. Pesh also likes eating meat, something she disclosed in an unaired interview with the founder of Wiki u Tiv , she also agreed to liking okara soup as her favourite soup and genger soup coming second on the list.
