Benue Links Nigeria Ltd stands as one of the largest transport companies in Nigeria, entirely owned by the state government. Its central office is strategically located along Gboko Road, near the Foodbasket Roundabout in Wurukum, Makurdi, Benue State. With branches established in key cities nationwide, the company has a well-established presence.

The company’s journey began in February 1988, commencing operations with just 10 Burem buses exclusively serving the state. Over time, it underwent substantial growth, expanding its reach across the entire country. By the late 2000s, the company bolstered its operations with more than 20 Marcopolo buses. Presently, Benue Links Nigeria Ltd extends its services to individuals and corporate entities by offering the option to register vehicles through a “leased vehicle” program. As of today, the company manages a diverse fleet of approximately 1000 vehicles, including contract vehicles.

Benue Links Nigeria Ltd boasts a well-equipped facility that includes a passenger waiting lounge, a fuel depot, a state-of-the-art vehicle repair workshop, and parking facilities catering to local residents and businesses in the vicinity.

Furthermore, the company maintains specialized functional units, including an Audit Unit led by the company’s internal auditor, as well as a Legal Unit managed by the company secretary/Legal Advisor. Typically, the Legal Advisor is a senior state counsel seconded from the state ministry of justice.
